Garden Center Tour

Located within sight-distance of Interstate 40 just minutes from UNC-Chapel Hill in North Carolina's rolling Piedmont region, Cooper-Payne Tree Farms & Landscapes' garden center contains a snap shot of our inventory and plant availability. From cold-hardy palms and desert plants to heat-tolerant northern evergreens, we try to maintain a good variety for our customers to look at. With our giant rocking chair and giant Adirondack Chair designed and built by Chapel Hill, NC artist Ethan Loenthal on sitel, we also get more than our fair share of tourists who stop to take photograhs. (In fact the chairs have become such a local icon, we were greeted with howls of protest a while back when we had decided to move them to another property!)

The plants on displayat our garden center are ever-changing as we are constantly moving inventory from our farms to customer properties.

Photo of Cooper-Payne Garden CenterThe geography of our installations continues to grow and now stretches from Florida to New England and into the Midwest and Deep South. Whether you're a homeowner in Ohio who wants mature plants to screen your property or a coastal northeastern resident who wants to push Southern Magnolias and Crape Myrtles, we have the cultivars available that will work for your specific landscape. We also are well-versed in plant location and relocation and for example recently assisted a customer in Seattle get 6 20' windmill palsms. We located the plants in Louisiana, dug them and shipped them to Seattle for the landscape project.

We also can provide actual photos of the plants you'll be getting for your landscapes. So, rather than seeing a photo of a plant that is "like" what yours will be, we'll show you a photo of your actual plant! By employing this method, we can ensure you are seeing exactly what you are getting to ensure total customer satisfaction.

This UNC-Chapel Hill student took a few moments to relax in Chapel Hill artist Ethan Loenthal's creation "The Rocking Chair"

We're proud to be a part of the effort to restore the American Elm to the nation's landscape and almost always have a good selection of this fine tree at the garden center. Whether you are looking for that one special tree or a total landscaping installation, please feel free to stop by. We are usually at the garden center on weekends and by appointment only during the week. It's probably best to give us a calll before hand to make sure we'll be around at 919-801-0211.

We look forward to the opportunityto work with you and turn your landscape into a private retreat!

Thanks,

David Payne
